Kah San Chako Haws

Kah San Chako Haws was one of the Pacific Northwest's first completed modular multi-family affordable housing projects. The goal of Kah San Chako Haws was to set the stage for a new generation of affordable housing that reduces unit costs, reduces delivery time, increases quality, improves unit design, is greener, and most importantly, has a positive impact on the number of affordable housing units built in the United States.

Kah San Chako Haws success demonstrates that modular construction is a viable option to address cost, time, quality, unit design and sustainability in affordable housing.

Floor Plan

Three unit types were in this project: Studio, 1 Bedroom, 2 Bedroom. Coupling and stacking units was accomplished successfully. This project was designed as a 'proof of concept' for larger multi-family affordable housing projects.
